You got it exactly right. I did not sketch this one at all. It just came out like that. And I had no inspiration for that. I guess this painting has the reality element missing?
Going outdoors is not an option for me. So, I think ur other suggestion looks good. I lost my chance at professional training during my childhood & i guess this is all i can do.. improvise whatever i have... so maybe i can just polish my sketching methods first?
The colours dazzle but..
I will be frank. PL take your time for a painting. You need not have to do something like this. You can always go outdoors, select lovely scenic landscapes and sketch (which you do very well). After the basic sketch, you paint. You must get lots more details than here. Observation on site will give you the details. Or else, take a lovely colour photo from National Geographic or from Internet and simply copy to make a painting. This is the easiest way.
If time permits, you may sit with a teacher for learning techniques.
You have the motivation and the basic skill. Now, just a matter of time.
